Los Angeles, home of Hollywood, continually attracts visitors – some trying to spot a star and others hoping to be spotted and become a star.
For nights out in LA the best way to get round is the newly established Holly Trolley.
Described as Hollywood's designated driver, the bus service runs every 12 minutes between 8pm and 4am stopping at the city's hottest night spots and clubs where the goings-on fill the world's gossip columns.
Clubs to look out for include The Highlands, Mood and Avalon, and those who have the right look can find themselves skipping the queue and getting past the velvet rope.
Perhaps one of the best qualities of the Holly Trolley, which heads through all of the central Hollywood area and Hollywood Boulevard, from La Brea at the west end past Vine Street in the east, is that tickets for the whole night just cost $1.
And after a night out trying to make the headlines and meet the stars, the best way to chill out during the day is on the beaches of Santa Monica, made famous by David Hasselhoff and Baywatch.
