Orlando Vacations

Orlando Vacations
Disney World
While many think Orlando shuts shop after summer, in autumn vacations in the Florida city take a frightening turn.

With the arrival of Halloween, one of the US's favourite holidays, the theme parks and attractions of Orlando aim to scare visitors.

For those not quite prepared for a fright, Disney World put son Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on selected nights throughout October.

Guests are invited to dress up for the party and go trick-or-treating through the theme park. There will also be the bewitching Boo-to-You Halloween parade and the Happy HalloWishes fireworks spectacular.

Also during October, Universal Orlando puts on something to cause a few goose bumps. The theme park employs a team of designers to really terrify with the Halloween Horror Nights.

Hundreds of street performers dressed as ghouls, zombies, vampires and ghosts will set the scene while the nightmares will come true at the numerous haunted houses and inescapable scare zones.

Attractions, all inspired by Hollywood, include the Dungeon of Terror, the Psycho path, the Scream House and the People Under the Stairs.

The spirit of Halloween even spreads to SeaWorld.

November in Orlando is a touch calmer before the excitement of the city's Christmas celebrations come.
