The iconic sights of Paris, such as the
Eiffel tower, the
Arc de Triomphe and the pyramid outside the Lourve, continue to capture people's imaginations.

However, this autumn a number of festivals add to the cultural offerings.
The Autumn Festival, in its 35th year, runs from September into December, and aims to bring new works to from leading European and American artists to Paris. Dance, the visual arts and theatre are all included in the festival and the broad range of contributors means there are a great number of events to suit all tastes.
In the last week of October, Fiac 2006 takes over the
Grand Palais of the Lourve with leading contemporary artists from around the world.

Photography this autumn also takes pride of place in Paris.
The tenth Paris Photo fair and Photo Month both take place in November –with the best classical, vintage and contemporary photography on display.
