Ryanair sells off 2m seats for less than £1
Low-cost airline Ryanair is celebrating the start of 2007 by selling 2,007,000 seats for 99p.
The post-festive promotion, which excludes taxes and other charges, covers 127 destinations across Europe.
Peter Sherrard, Ryanair head of communications said: "Christmas may be over, but Ryanair just keeps on giving. Now is the time to plan your getaway from a fridge full of leftovers to one of our 127 low fare destinations across Europe. So why not soak up the New Year sun in the Canaries or alternatively why not hit the slopes in Salzburg?
"For the best travel bargains in 2007, check out our 2,007,000 seats on sale for just 99p."
Fellow low-cost airline Wizz has also joined in with the new year sales by offering a number of flights for 1p, to destinations including the Slovene capital Ljubljana and Gdansk and Katowice, respectively in the north and south of Poland.
