Royalty were regular visitors to the Hotel in the early 1800's. Our Victoria Room commemorates a visit in 1831 by the Duchess of Kent and the then Princess Victoria.

Situated in the historic part of the City, in the main High Street, the Hotel is close to parks, the shopping precinct and malls, and the old City Walls. It's just a short walk to Town Quay, Ocean Village and the Isle of Wight ferries.

The Star Hotel has 45 bedrooms all with modern facilities: colour TV, direct dial telephone and a courtesy tea & coffee tray.
